I recently made a few videos that highlight our best super fun times from December & January. Here is the first one, featuring paddleboarding on rivers, lakes, and the ocean in different spots on the North Island--Mahia Peninsula, Coromandel, Manawatu, and Blue Lake in Rotorua.

A little bit of commentary on this video. First, we are really new at paddleboarding and therefore do a lot of KDP (kneel down paddleboarding) instead of SUP for the Class 2 and higher whitewater. Second, Mac takes almost all the video and I realized later that this makes me (Sienna) look like I want to hog the spotlight all the time, which is not true. I need to take more video so we can get Mac's awesome face in addition to his awesome commentary. By the way, he totally doesn't know I have kept some of the audio on those videos, which I find hilarious. Especially at the beginning of the next video when you can hear him say, "Yay!" over the music. So cute!
This packrafting video below has an interesting story to go along with it. We found a little dog that seemed to be on its last legs in the proverbial middle of nowhere. It was soaking wet and crawling down the bank, so it was filthy. It whined and dragged itself over to us--truly pathetic. I thought, "I hope this puppy lives until we can get out of here!" I also thought that the puppy better be okay with travel via packraft, because it was our only feasible way out. It was. It stayed bundled in the beach towel I wrapped it in and Mac and I traded off taking it downstream. We portaged any "iffy" rapids, not wanting to soak the dog again. Then, when we reached the bridge at the end of our float, the puppy totally perked up! It was truly a different animal, sniffing everything and wanting to take off. So, we put it on a leash and it pulled all the way back to the car. I don't know where it got all that energy--maybe from all the cookies I fed it? (That was the only food I had left from lunch).

I have one more video made from our trip into Iron Gates Gorge (pictured at top) that will be on my Vimeo page in a day or two.
By the way, I am a total amateur and a lot of this video is shaky and poorly produced. I apologize in advance. If you find yourself getting sick or dazzled, watch it in a smaller window; that helps.
